Founder, Program Director
Birth & Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator
Shea's passion and commitment for working with women, children and families began early in life. Shea has extensive experience working with teens, served as a counselor for at-risk youth and has worked with women, children and families in a variety of capacities since 1989. After becoming a doula in 2003, professionally DONA trained in birth and postpartum, Shea discovered her purpose in life was supporting women and families during pregnancy, birth and early parenting. In 2010 Shea moved with her husband to Portland, with the goal of bringing Doulas Supporting Teens' services to the Portland Metro area. Committed to the DST Eugene/Springfield DST branch, Shea continues to work as the Program Director and commutes to Eugene monthly and works from her Portland office weekly. Shea and her husband Derek are expecting their first baby in May 2011.

Birth & Postpartum Doula
Iris became a birth doula in 1996 after finding out that her 19 year old best friend was pregnant. The experience was transformative.
She decided to dedicate her life to birthing women and in 2000 graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Women's Studies and a minor in Anthropology with a focus on international birthing traditions.
For more than a decade, Iris has been supporting both teen and adult families during birth and postpartum. She makes her home with her husband and two children.
Iris is currently on sabbatical with her husband and two children in Mexico. She will be returning to Eugene in August of 2011
